The third installment of the MCU’s version of Spider-Man  follows Peter Parker, played by Tom Holland, after getting his secret identity of Spider-Man revealed to the world in the previous movie, Spider-Man: Far From Home. Parker struggles with his newfound fame  and caves under the pressure, seeking an unconventional source to undo his dilemma. He goes to Doctor Strange, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, for help, but things go wrong when classic villains from previous Spider-Man franchises start creating a multitude of problems.

The teaser trailer is full of  encrypted cliffhangers and easter eggs hinting at crazy additions to the Spider-Man saga.

There are various hints that caught viewers’ attention in the trailers. One popular inclusion is the return of different villains from previous Spider-Man franchises by Sony. The five villains confirmed to make an appearance in the movie are Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina), who is thought to be the leader of the group, the Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), Electro (Jaime Foxx), Sandman (Thomas Haden Church), and Lizard (Rhys Ifans). One of the most iconic groups of supervillains in the Marvel comics are the “Sinister Six.” While there are only five comfirmed villains, people are speculating that Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) could make his return as the sixth member.

With all of the seen-before villains showing up, fans are beginning to wonder if the Spider-Men from the previous Sony franchises are also in the movie, like Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. While unconfirmed by Marvel and denied by the actors themselves, fans remain hopeful. They hypothesize that the other Spider-Men were edited out of the trailers as one part shows the villain, Lizard, getting punched by nothing. Getting to see all three versions of this character in a live-action movie is what a lot of people want to see.

People are also predicting MJ’s potential death. In the trailer, actress Zendaya, who plays MJ, is seen falling from a building, alluding to a similar scene in  The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is highly anticipated. It  has lots of potential, high hopes, and action-packed scenes. The movie will set the tone for the rest of the movies and shows in Phase Four of the MCU, as fans will see how the multiverse Marvel and Sony have created will fit into the other heroes’ worlds.
