As the 2017-2018 school year begins, the class of 2021 readily prepares for their high school journey with their new class presidents leading the way.

Freshman President, Dakota Landry, and Freshman Vice President, Kyle Wood, are the first two males to be serving a class position in ASB history.

“In my 12 years as the ASB advisor, we’ve never had two guys as class presidents before,” ASB Director Sanford Carvajal said. “I’m excited to see what happens.”

Landry presents excitement to serve his graduating class alongside Wood.

“We plan on representing our class the best way possible and by making the school better,” Landry said.

Landry’s earned his positions through  a great campaign, support, and ASB experience.

“I did ASB in sixth, seventh, and eighth grade,” Landry said. “I wanted to run for freshman president because I have experience and have plans to represent the freshman class the best way.”

Along with Landry, Wood has also earned his position with a massive competition as he ran against seven other  candidates.

“I was lucky enough to have my whole football team support me and get them to vote for me and Dakota,” Wood said. “Luckily, I have experience too, so I am prepared to serve our class. I appreciated the support, and it will pay off.”

Partners Dakota Landry and Kyle Wood have lots of ideas in store to prepare the Class of 2021 for a memorable first year of high school. The freshmen class has two well-coordinated class presidents to begin leading the way of their high school journey.
