These members of staff were hired over the summer to assist with the growing population of students at MC, substitute for teachers during maternity leave, and to help support the already existing staff.

High School English 1-2 teacher Jennifer Fan, who is substituting for Kristin Talbert while she is on maternity leave, is one of many new teachers who expressed their joy for teaching at MC.

“I have always liked the kids here at Mt. Carmel and have a lot of really great kids in my classes so I’m really happy and am looking forward to the rest of my time here at MC,” Fan said.

Like many other new staff members at MC, Integrated Math teacher and Assistant Cross Country coach Christopher Jenkins is enjoying his time with the sundevils.

“I love  my position here at Mt. Carmel, I’m excited to get up in the morning. I like all of my students, they’re all working hard and though teaching IM classes hasn’t been easy, it’ll definitely be worth it in the end,” Jenkins said.
