Everyone has experienced that moment when they see a protester and immediately want to walk the other way. Recently students experienced what a radical protest looks like when a woman, very intensely, protested pro-life outside of campus. This frightened some students and achieved little in the way of preaching. However, the next day a man was at the bottom of the steps, kindly handing out pocket-sized bibles, and managed to pass out an impressive amount of text. Both of these people were advocating what they believe in, and were both well within their rights to do so. Although it truly showed that a calm manner is a much more respectful and effective way to do so. We can all stand up for what we believe in but don’t forget that you can catch more flies with sugar than vinegar.
