Most people have heard of the Harry Potter series. Most of these people know that J.K. Rowling was the author and creator of Harry Potter and his magical, wizard world.
But, many Harry Potter fans have never heard of Robert Galbraith, the author of a fairly new novel called The Cuckoo’s Calling.
Galbraith and Rowling seem to have had absolutely no connection, until the day that a lawyer gave away Rowling’s big secret.
Rowling wrote The Cuckoo’s Calling under the pseudonym, or pen name, Robert Galbraith.
“I was yearning to go back to the beginning of a writing career in this new genre, to work without hype or expectation and to receive totally unvarnished feedback,” Rowling said. “It was a fantastic experience and I only wish it could have gone on a little longer.”
It looks like Rowling was busy writing and hiding herself from readers after writing all of the Harry Potter books.
“If anyone had seen the labyrinthine plans I laid to conceal my identity or indeed my expression when I realized that the game was up they would realize how little I wanted to be discovered,” Rowling said.
Rowling has also been up to a lot of other “magical” after the seven Harry Potter novels.
She also has been involved in creating the Harry Potter theme park in Florida. The Hogsmeade area of this park as opened and a new Diagon Alley will be opening this summer.

This will be a trilogy based on the 54 paged book she wrote after it appeared in Harry Potter called Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. It is going to be about the fictitious author, Newt Scamander, who wrote the book in the Harry Potter series.
“Although it will be set in the worldwide community of witches and wizards where I was so happy for 17 years, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is neither a prequel nor a sequel to the Harry Potter series, but an extension of the wizarding world,” said Rowling, in a statement. “The laws and customs of the hidden magical society will be familiar to anyone who has read the Harry Potter books or seen the films, but Newt’s story will start in New York, 70 years before Harry’s gets underway.”
The Warner Brothers Company supports Rowling’s ideas and is going work with her to make it into a movie.
Rowling has done a lot after her big break on Harry Potter. All of her fans should be on the lookout for her new books, movies and any other magic tricks the Rowling might pull out of her sleeve.
