Rancho Bernardo Students, Nerds or Birds?

The first thing that comes to my mind when I think about the kids at Rancho Bernardo is: nerds.

I think of the geeky band kids and AP students.

RB is known for their fabulous marching band. I remember seeing photos on Facebook of them, buttoned up in clad uniforms to win every band award known to man.

Another thing that immediately comes to my mind is their Academic League team. Their team has been dominating the league since what feels like the beginning of time.

Watching the match against MC’s varsity Academic League team last year was just painful. They creamed us all the way up till the last buzzer.

I also remember my mom telling me about all the 2400’s that were scored on the SAT by countless RB students.

While having nightmares about how my SAT “bootcamp”, my mind floods with images of successful band-os who probably don’t need to be taking the classes to begin with.

On the other hand, they also think of the stereotypical MC student to be Asian b-boys who break dance on tables at lunchtime.

However, a lot of RB students believe that while MC has one of the most spirited campuses in the district.

Most of their rivalry lie with Poway, so most of their “spirited hate” is directed to Poway instead of MC.

While both schools have their opinion of each other, I guess we won’t know what RB is truly like unless we go there.
