Grub Burger Bar takes Carmel Mountain by storm

Grub, a recently opened hamburger restaurant 12045 Carmel Mountain Rd, offers great burgers, fries, onion rings, and other sides along with a trendy atmosphere, making it one of the area’s premiere restaurants.

Upon approaching the building, one immediately notices the bar, which is missing a wall on one side. This makes the restaurant completely exposed to the outside, giving the restaurant a breezy and open feel.

The decor could be described as modern with an industrial feel. It’s a good aesthetic for a trendy new restaurant.

I received my meal very quickly, but it was not at the expense of quality. The Guacapotle burger (a hamburger with  chipotle aioli, cheddar cheese, and house-made guacamole) was a masterful blend of traditional American burger crafting and trendy Southern California flavors, and it didn’t hurt to have such fantastic homemade buns. The well-seasoned (if perhaps a bit too garlicky) french fries are a great addition.

Of course, the food is only half the battle. A good restaurant needs good service, and Grub does not disappoint. The wait staff was very helpful, and they frequently came to ask if we needed anything or if everything was to our liking, in contrast to most hamburger joints where you’re on your own after you’ve ordered.

Grub Burger Bar is a fabulous new restaurant where everything is simply done right. The restaurant is well-decorated; the food is delicious, and the wait staff is among the best I’ve ever seen. If you’re looking for the comfort of a delicious burger, but you want to try something a bit new, then there’s no better restaurant to visit.
